GST Amendment

Change what is on your registration, correctly.

Registration details are not static, and the law gives you fifteen days from the change to report it. Core field changes — legal name, principal place of business, the addition or removal of a partner or director — need officer approval; the rest take effect on filing.

The one people miss is an additional place of business. Storing stock at an address that is not on your registration is a common and entirely avoidable ground for a notice.

What is included

  • Amendment application in REG-14
  • Core and non-core field changes
  • Departmental queries answered
  • Amended registration certificate

What we need from you

  • Proof supporting the change — new address proof, board resolution, partner deed
  • Existing GST registration certificate
  • Authorised signatory's digital signature or EVC

Questions

How long do I have to report a change to my GST registration?

Fifteen days from the date of the change. Core field amendments then go to an officer for approval and can take up to fifteen working days; non-core fields update on filing.
