e-Way Bill Setup & Support
Required above ₹50,000 of goods in movement.
An e-way bill is required for the movement of goods worth more than ₹50,000, whether interstate or, in most states, within the state. It is generated before the movement begins, not after it.
Validity runs by distance — one day per 200 kilometres for regular cargo — and expires whether or not the goods have arrived. Goods moving on an expired bill are liable to detention and a penalty equal to the tax plus a like amount.
