ESI Registration
Ten employees, and wages up to ₹21,000.
ESI applies to establishments with ten or more employees, and covers employees earning up to ₹21,000 a month — ₹25,000 where the employee has a disability.
Contributions are 0.75% from the employee and 3.25% from the employer, due by the 15th of the following month. In return covered employees get medical care, sickness benefit, maternity benefit and disability cover.
It applies only in notified areas, which is worth checking before you register.
