Food & Water Testing
NABL-accredited reports, for FSSAI and for your buyers.
An FSSAI manufacturing licence requires a water test report for the water used in processing, and FSSAI requires licence holders to test their products periodically against the standards for their category.
Beyond compliance, retail chains and export buyers routinely require a recent NABL-accredited report before listing a product, and shelf-life studies before agreeing a stocking arrangement.
Testing must be at a NABL-accredited or FSSAI-notified laboratory — a report from an unaccredited lab is not accepted by the authority or, generally, by buyers.

How often must an FSSAI licence holder test products?
FSSAI requires periodic testing against the standards for the product category — commonly twice a year for a manufacturer, though the frequency depends on category and risk. Reports must be retained and produced on inspection.
