ISO Certification

9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001, through an accredited body.

ISO certification is a voluntary standard, and it is worth having mainly because customers and tender processes ask for it. 9001 covers quality management, 14001 environmental, 27001 information security and 45001 occupational health and safety.

The certificate is only as good as the body that issues it. An unaccredited certificate is cheap and is routinely rejected in tenders — we certify through IAF-accredited bodies only.

It runs three years with annual surveillance audits.

Questions

Is a cheap ISO certificate worth anything?

Usually not. Certificates from unaccredited bodies are commonly rejected in tenders and by corporate procurement. Check the certifying body is accredited by an IAF member — that is the whole value of the exercise.
