RCMC Registration
The membership certificate export incentives require.
An RCMC is issued by the Export Promotion Council or commodity board for your product line, and it is the document that makes an exporter eligible for benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy — duty scrips, advance authorisation and the rest.
Choosing the right council matters: it must match the product you actually export, and an RCMC from the wrong council does not support a claim.
It is now applied for through the DGFT common digital platform and is valid for five years.

Is RCMC mandatory for exporting?
Not to export as such — an IEC is what you need for that. RCMC is required to claim benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy, so any exporter intending to use a scheme needs one from the council covering their product.
